Navigating the state of New York isn't always easy. Whether you're in Buffalo or New York City, there's always someone coming and someone going. For new or inexperienced drivers, this can become quite stressful and intimidating- especially if you're driving in the big city. The New York Point & Insurance Reduction Program (PIRP), also known as New York Defensive Driving, is one way for drivers - both new, old, experienced or otherwise - to learn fundamental safe driving practices, safe commuting techniques, and receive a nice insurance premium reduction as well.

Unlike many driving-oriented classes, such as defensive driving seminars, PIRP can be taken at several course sponsor locations, making access to it convenient for everyone in New York State.
